A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to non-existent addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss emails because the other side has an obsolete email address or has made a mistake. The downside of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of junk emails, but this problem can be rectified by using an anti-spam protection solution. It is also important to remember that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot forward incoming email messages to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

If you have a Linux hosting with us and you wish to activate the catch-all option for a specific e-mailbox that you have in your account, it will take literally only one mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each email address that you have set up under any domain registered in the account. You can choose one single email address per domain name by clicking on the corresponding button. This will enable the feature momentarily, so all messages sent to mistyped addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button once more will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you’ve got enabled email forwarding, our system will show a cautionary notice and you will not be able to enable the catch-all feature till you disable the forwarding or you can simply pick some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be activated without any difficulty if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up with the domain names hosted in your account will be enumerated in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a mini sign handily situated right next to each one. With just a single click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking provided that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this option through the menu that will show up. In case any of the requirements for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will inform you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
