A: If your current hosting provider can no longer meet the needs of your site, or if you undergo regular downtime, or if you are made to wait for hours for the support staff to respond to you, it may be a good idea to change your provider, i.e. to migrate all the files for your websites along with your databases from your current provider to your new provider. At Web Sqaud Domain and Hosting Services, we understand that this can be difficult & time–consuming. That is why we will do all that for you for free!Our seasoned technical team representatives will migrate your web site content from your present provider to us. Our techs have broad experience migrating web sites and are able to take care of everything – from a normal WordPress blog or Joomla^™–based web site, to a very complex, custom–made app.

A: We try to implement all website migrations as quickly as possible. Nevertheless, we don’t have a fixed time frame for web site migrations. There are several factors that you need to take into account – the sheer size of your web site and the workload of our website migration team, etc. We constantly try to perform each migration in less than 48 hours. With smaller–sized web sites, our team usually manages to finish in less than 24 hours.

A: We’ll require the login information for your old web hosting provider’s Control Panel and the website’s name (domain name).

A: User privacy is truly one of our main priorities – that is why, both our payment transaction page and our Control Panel login page are protected with enterprise–grade SSL certificates. We employ security measures, which include, but are not limited to: physical, electronic and administrative operations to secure the data that we obtain on the web. And we’ve got a very detailed and rigorous Privacy Policy, which describes the types of information that we collect.

A: Your web site will continue to work just like it did before with your former web hosting provider. When we have completed the migration, your web site will be configured to work on our web hosting platform and we’ll ask you to preview it. If everything is functioning correctly, all you will have to do is modify the NS records corresponding to your domain name. Your site will be transferred to us without any downtime.

A: While we transfer your content, your hosting provider won’t be aware of the transfer at all. We won’t get in touch with them in any way.

A: We can transfer your web site from any web hosting provider or any Linux–driven hosting platform as long as we can obtain access to the Control Panel and there’s FTP access available.The only websites that we cannot migrate are those based on closed–source software apps such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
